Russia’s ‘Kalibr’ Cruise Missiles Launched Against Ukraine

INTERNATIONAL: Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday ,Mach 23, has released new footage that shows the launch of “Kalibr” cruise missiles against Ukrainian armed forces.

The ministry has said in a statement that eight missiles were launched from a guided-missile warship near the Black Sea port of Sevastopol and three Bastion missiles were fired from coastal defense systems at targets belonging to the Ukrainian forces.

The sea-launched land-attack Kalibr cruise missiles are being used by the Russian navy to target Ukrainian cities. But the country has released the launch of these missiles for the first time.

Kalibr missile with an estimated range of 1,500 to 2,500 kilometres which has been in service since 2015 was tested and used in Syria.
